Marion County is the largest county in Indiana, and home to the state's largest city, Indianapolis. Marion County and Indianapolis operate in a unique, joined governance model known as unigov. Eagle Creek municipal park is also located in Marion County. It is one of the largest municipla parks in the country. The park features more than 1,400 acres of water and 3,900 acres of forest. It offers a wide variety of activities just minutes from downtown.
